Each digester has a rated capacity. In no condition may the digesters be fed beyond this capacity. There is a chance of the process being upset and a time consuming and expensive restart may be required.
During the first month of operation, a gradual ramp up to the rated capacity is needed. A feed schedule will be provided by the personnel and must be adhered to.
